Weekend Truck Driver Training Program

At 42, I decided to become a truck driver because I wanted a better job. I was able to pay for training at Transportation Center for Excellence through a private loan and $1,000 funding assistance from Hired.  The training was very good and I learned a lot about safety.  The instructors were easy to get along with, the staff was very interested in seeing students succeed and I liked the interest everyone took in job placement. Two weeks after graduation I was hired with McLane. I drive locally with them, keep very busy and the job pays well, $1,300 bi-weekly.   I enjoy truck driving and the freedom that comes along with it.
