Truck Driver Training Program

After training with Transportation Center for Excellence I got a job working for Hernandez Trucking. At 23 years old and after only a few months driving with them I'm now an owner operator. I used to drive tow truck and enjoyed that so I decided to get a Class A license. I took the four-week program at Transportation Center for Excellence and thought it was a good amount of training to help a student be ready to test.

The training was excellent and I liked all the instructors. They were patient, had a great attitude and worked very well with all the students. The staff helped with all areas of training no matter what the issue was. I learned how log books work and a lot more about safety - than I never even thought of.  

I didn't know what an important responsibility driving a truck was. Everyday I use the training I got, like the helpful tips and confidence they gave me. I tell everyone I talk to about Transportation Center for Excellence.  

I like where I work because of the emphasis they put on safety and maintenance. I take pride in doing a good job and being a safe driver and I have more self-confidence now. The work is fun and exciting and I learn new information everyday.  

I like seeing new places and things and meeting new people in the trucking industry. I have more independence than at my last job and no supervisor watching over me!
