What does “employable” mean?

1. Motor Vehicle Report (MVR): We will order an MVR. The majority of trucking companies have the following hiring criteria: no DWI/DUI within the last 5 years, no careless/reckless conviction in the last 3 years, and no more than 3 speeding tickets in the last 3 years
2. Criminal Background Check: We will order a criminal background check. The hiring criteria for a background check is too broad to be listed and will vary on an individual basis. Let us help you decipher yours.
3. Work History: We will request complete records of employment and unemployment for the last 3 years to include names, addresses, phone numbers and dates of employment. Some companies require up to 10 years.
4. DOT Physical Exam and Drug Screen:

• 21 years old to drive interstate.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

• Must have a minimum of 1-year experience driving a personal vehicle.

• Must possess a social security card.

• Must possess an alien registration card if not a U.S. citizen
