We provide Class A permit test preparation and a free permit class. You will be trained in compliance and become familiar with the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR). Professional Truck Driver Institute (PTDI) and/or JJ Keller & Associates books and testing materials are used. Our training includes safety, vehicle systems, pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection, coupling and uncoupling tractor-trailer units, shifting, turning, backing, city and highway driving, hours of service, trip planning, hazardous materials (hazmat), and professionalism.
At the end of training you will take your Class ‘A’ CDL test. Upon graduation, you will receive :
- Certificate of Completion
- Transcript and National Safety Council Defensive Driving – Professional Truck Driver Certificate.
100% placement is required to complete our course. The 9 weeks of training consists of 3 weeks at TCE and 6 weeks paid training at a carrier of your choice.
