Training for Class A:

We provide Class A permit test preparation and a free permit class.  You will be trained in compliance and become familiar with the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR). Professional Truck Driver Institute (PTDI) and/or JJ Keller & Associates books and testing materials are used. Our training includes safety, vehicle systems, pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection, coupling and uncoupling tractor-trailer units, shifting, turning, backing, city and highway driving, hours of service, trip planning, hazardous materials (hazmat), and professionalism. At the end of training you will take your Class 'A' CDL test. Upon graduation, you will receive a Certificate of Completion, Transcript and National Safety Council Defensive Driving - Professional Truck Driver Certificate. 100% placement is required to complete our course. The 9 weeks of training consists of 3 weeks at TCT and 6 weeks paid training at a carrier of your choice.

Skill Development

We offer classes that are small in size so our instructors are able to offer personalized assistance and individual mentoring. Each student develops at a different rate of speed and each student is evaluated daily and assisted individually on specific skill development tasks. Students are never 'squeezed' into a time frame, but rather guided through success oriented training at their personal level of development.
